Introduction & Overview (0:00-0:35)

0:00-0:37: “Hello. Hello. Welcome back to another training video today around machine orientation. We’re going to actually cover the interface in the controller and just go through an overview of where things are organized and how they’re laid out. So we haven’t gotten to actually turn on the machine yet, but it’s nice to know where things are located on the interface before you actually jump onto your platform. So let me go show you right here on the controller and we will give you a guide. So first off, we’re not gonna go over every single button and what it does that’s been broken out into other videos, um, so that we can simplify the learning process”

Home Screen & Daily Procedures (0:35-1:36)

0:34-1:38: “um, so that we can simplify the learning process as you’re learning how to set up your machine here, we’re just going to kind of take different zones and what we call pages so you can see how things are organized, um, to easily find certain controls when you are, again using the machine. So first off, when you turn on the machine, it’s always gonna come here to your home screen. And so along the top bar here, we have two main sections. We have our workstation screens, our horizontal table, vertical table, and turning, um, workstation screens as well as our control screens. And you have your home a TC settings and reset, uh, sorry, home a TC and settings reset is just a separate button on its own that will show up on all screens as well. So, um, in the home screen, this is where we’re gonna be doing our beginning of day routine. We have our startup system routine, um, and we have our shutdown routine, um, right here. Okay, so one half is the beginning of the day, the other half is the end of the day when you’re shutting down. And we will go through those procedures later on. Uh, so when we’re ready to actually set up the machine,”

Workstation Screens & Operations (1:36-2:35)

1:35-2:36: “Uh, so when we’re ready to actually set up the machine, we’ll choose a workstation such as a horizontal work table here. And you’re gonna notice if you actually go to each workstation, they all look identical, okay? So the interface is gonna be laid out, but we’ve made it possible to where you can save your settings for that workstation in each screen so you have less of a chance of messing up, um, your positions on your machine because we’ve separated them. So that was the reason for that. However, the operations are gonna be identical across all three workstation screens. So, um, here we have, um, what are called display screens in this top right corner. And that’s gonna be the same for all three of our workstation screens themselves. So the display screens, there are four of them. There’s the program, the smart tool, the control, and the tool. Um, a lot of the time you’re gonna notice in the set, um,”

Display Screens & Control Navigation (2:35-3:40)

2:33-3:42: “Um, a lot of the time you’re gonna notice in the set, um, in the set of procedures, we’re gonna be working through these display screens in a linear fashion, most likely from tool to control to smart tool, eventually ending up with program. But if you click on one, so you can see this is activated, whenever there’s a green bar, you can tell what is active at that time. So the horizontal table is active with that green bar. The program display screen is active and we can click through these to see other Options and setups, procedures that we can control so we can go to control and even tool. Uh, so again, that’s, that’s how you’re able to switch between your four display screens. Um, the rest of this is gonna stay the same the entire time. Uh, so in the bottom right corner we have our work offsets where we’re going to be saving our zero positions under how we organize our work offset positions. That will make more sense as we get to the, uh, setup procedures. We have our coordinates and manual controls right here for our axes. X, Y, and Z are, you can see activated while these are grayed out because we’re in the horizontal table and not in the turning center where we’re using our a axis.”

Program Controls & Interface Features (3:40-5:05)

3:39-5:06: “and not in the turning center where we’re using our a axis. And if we went to the turning center, you would see that the software automatically activates certain areas of the, of the controller based on where you are located. As an example, the a axis has been now activated ’cause we’re in the turning work screen versus the horizontal work screen where it is deactivated. Okay. Um, and then we have over here is where we can control, um, playing, pausing and stopping mostly of our systems. Some auxiliary, um, controls as well as overrides. These are called program, um, controls In this box section, um, this top section here is where our program is going to be, um, loaded into our controller where we can actually read the actual lines of, of command and codes here if we ever need to do that. Um, but that gives us the overall layout of our interface. And again, it’s the exact same regardless of which workstation we go to up here. It’ll be the exact same display screens. Um, and again, you have your work offsets, jog controls as well as program controls and program, um, will be identical across all three screens. So this is where most of your setups are gonna take place, and you’ll be toggling back to the home screen at the beginning of the day when you’re turning the machine on and when you’re shutting it down. So there’s a quick overview and we’ll see you guys in the next training video.”

Conclusion (5:05-5:15)
