0:00-1:51: “Okay. Hello. Hello. Welcome back to another training video. Uh, today we’re gonna focus on two things as part of that shop preparation checklist. And that is, um, having a dedicated computer for your CAD cam software, your designing and programming software, and also, um, having internet connection close to the machine, usually through a wifi setup. And so, we’ll, we’ll talk about each one of those. Now. First is the computer. So you’re gonna need software to design and program for the CNC known as cadcam software. And we do a lot of, uh, discussions and recommendations with our clients and customers. And the number one software that probably over 95% of our customers use is the tric software known as V carf Pro and Aspire. Um, and we usually recommend that, uh, most people get started with V CARF Pro, and then when you’ve outgrown the software, you can up upgrade to aspire for the price difference from that company. And they treat you really well, fantastic company to work with. Very powerful one-time licensed purchase, not a subscription. So we, we really like that and our customers have come to really like that software, but you, you’re gonna need to have a dedicated computer for that software, um, in order to, again, design and program your projects for the CNC machine. Um, so to make sure that you’re hitting at least the minimum requirements for the computer that you need, um, we’ve created a support document that you can download, um, right below this video. Just click on that download link and that will give you, again, the minimum requirements for the PC computer that you’re going to need to have for, for the CNC machine. So you won’t be able to actually load any of the, uh, cad cam software onto your controller computer that comes with the machine itself. Um, that won’t work. And so that’s why we have to have a dedicated PC computer. So, uh, go ahead and take a look at that document so that we can get”
Internet Access Importance (1:51-3:00)
1:49-2:58: “and take a look at that document so that we can get that set up in your shop. Now the second thing is getting internet access in your shop. Not only are you, are you going to need it for your dedicated computer? For example, the, the tric software, you download their software right from their website. So you’re gonna need to have internet access, um, regardless just to get that software on that, on that com, on that computer platform, um, to get started. But we really, um, have seen a difference in our, in our support when we can get internet access close to the machine. And the reason is, is we’re able to set up a, a wifi network there and then get remote access. With your permission. We can log in and see what your machine is doing, um, as we’re troubleshooting or finding out if anything is wrong with the platform. So I wish we could say the machine lasts forever and nothing happens, but everything mechanical does have a lifespan. And so as you use it and it has wear and tear, um, eventually we’re gonna need to either tune or replace components. And so to find out exactly where the issue is and to help you guys out as fast as possible, we have found that a remote access support, um, with a wifi,”
