Because of its size, this router bit is useful when removing larger portions of material.

It is also useful for "hogging" away large amounts of material when milling larger diameter workpieces or for planing rough stock. Their surfaces can then be milled smooth using a Surface Planing Bit such as the 1 1/4" diameter RB2704 bit.

Because the bottom of its cutting surface is also carbide coated, it can be used to clean out milled pockets.

This bit, along with other 2-flute straight cutting router bits can be used with Legacy's template follower to create contoured profiles.

Note: The diameter of the stylus used in the Template Follower should be the same diameter as the bit being used.
