"It has been said, if you like what you do, you will never work a day in your life. I have had a sort of "first edition" Legacy Ornamental Mill, known as the WOODCUCK, for about 10 years now. All of the possibilities it displays still intrigues me. "

At age 77 (2005) C. R. , who advertises himself as a "Professional Piddler" still displays an entertaining sense of humor.

"I may not be good, but I am slow." C. R. Markham

"I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left." C. R. Markham

C. R. has loved to work with wood and mechanical things "since I was a pup". Since his primary woodworking interests centered around creating spirals, years ago he bought a Sears Router Crafter - a small desktop spiral creating tool. After "tweaking" it to meet his personal needs, it did a pretty good job for him.

About ten years ago, however, he purchased one of Phantom Engineering, Inc.'s (parent company of Legacy Woodworking Machinery) more advanced spiral machine called the WOODCHUCK (the forerunner of the LEGACY) and has created marvelous things with it every since.
